"The Wire" made me do it

ok well, I worked out and did some stuff around house..and decided to watch a few episodes of the wire cause I heard it was a dope ass show. It really is btw, Im halfway through season 1, but my episode cut off because megavideo only allows a like 90 minutes of video before it cuts off for 70 minutes.. argghhh..

so i got bored and played some nl100 on full tilt. I ran pretty well and ran into some bad players... so 500 hands hands later im up a nice $600.

bankroll now stands at $12,000

Day Two - MORE TILT!!!!

I played around 400 hands today. I got stubborn playing a reg and ran bad/started tilting 3bettting playing a high variance game. At this point of my rebuilding stage I really need to practice better table selection. I was proud of myself for quitting once I mutttered a few cusswords .. which is a huge positive for me, because ineveitably once i start cussing.. the bad play will come.

I made $400 today and am going to book a winner because I do not feel I am playing well.. I do feel good about my quit but still give myself a C for my play today. I will now go do something productive with rest of night!!!

Bankroll stands at $11,400

Day One

Happy cinco de mayo!
I got in around 3000 hands of NL100 and NL200 heads up today.. I don't feel I played very well and had a bad case of fancy play syndrome/spewing in stupid spots.
I did book a $1000 winner but am not happy with my play. I found myself getting tilted at points and playing non-optimal. this is a huge leak for me and I hope i can get much better at controlling my emotions at the tables
I think that playing well is most important thing by far, the results will come if I just play balanced and solid poker. Im so tired of the grind and know I become a success if I just apply what ive learned!

Bankroll is at $11,000. I give myself a C- for my play today, and thats being optimistic >:

Cinco De Mayo - 10K to my name

wassup everyone.. This blog was created to track my progress through the ranks of online poker.
I have been playing proffessionaly for the last 3 years, but have had some serious stumbles along the way. I always wanted poker to be a means to an end. and I feel I am very close to reaching that goal.
I have decided to give myself a challenge.. I start today with $10,000 as my online bankroll. I have all bills paid for next 3 months..So I do not plan to cash out until then, at which point hopefully I will have atleast 40k, so that cashing out 4k a month or so does not hurt me so much.

I will go over my buy in guidelines soon, but basically I will be using a conservative strategy mixed with shot taking when I hit certain levels... I hope that this blog will force me to focus on my game and what the end goal really is..

I will be playing NL100/200 heads up for the next 3 weeks atleast.. I feel I have not played very well lately and want to focus on the fundamentals without the money really meaning too much to me..

Wish me Luck!!!!!!
